I did not go outside this week. I was in bed almost the entire week. That’s Jase’s photo of Coffenburry lake in the fog. The lake is sky. Incidentally we had fog and lightening and it went off like flashbulbs outside….and that’s how I hurt my eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But before I hurt \/ burned my eyes — which let me tell you is fucking uncomfortable — I did in my back. I bent over and it gave. A situation so painful that trying to get to my room I puked. I couldn’t get in and out of my shower or up and down off the toilet. I required a walker for the better part of a week. I couldn’t roll myself over or get in and out of bed with anything other than extreme pain. I couldn’t cook, I couldn’t get to the kitchen, and I couldn’t pull on my pants. It really really sucked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But before my back went out….I had a uterine cyst swell up to incredible proportions (I guess, my abdomen was a chunky monkey and utterly gross) — well it burst. It burst and at first I’m like…god damn, what is with this abdominal pain? Then it began to bleed. And fucking hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had put away some overnight pads that I almost never use, they’re like big diapers, so I had to wear those around the clock: FOR DAYS. I bled so much I was dreaming about it. Dreaming I was in the hospital because of blood loss, woke up and thinking….yeah, I can see that. It literally was pouring out of me at times like water. God only knows how much blood I lost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was so bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So from wearing thick pads full of blood I developed pressure sores, which are a bitch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, I’m alive.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I finally mostly stopped bleeding. I still have some and a secondary infection with fever because of course I do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The storm came in and I was looking outside when it flashed brilliantly and I hurt my eyes and they feel full of sand and grit and hurt. I keep putting in drops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can walk better now but still sometimes need a cane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOOD FUCKING GOD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well goodbye 2023, you ended on a high note. The southern girl in me says, “yeah but it could have been worse. Husband could have given you a black eye!” *sigh* Here is to a good 2024, fucking hell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So to recap: Cyst burst and I started bleeding like mad \/ developed infection and pressure sores \/\/ had my back go out and was confined to bed for the better part of a week and had to use a walker to get to the toilet \/\/ ended up looking out the window at the wrong time during a FREAK electrical storm and burned my eyes. Fucking hell. Fucking hell. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
